HotHouse was established in 2007.

HotHouse Partnerships Ltd was started by experienced sales and marketing professionals, with the idea to create new British Brands that were manufactured in the UK.

The very first brand, Brown & Harris was developed and targeted at the US market given its quintessentially British positioning.  This is essence suggests we were born global! It was instantly received in export markets namely the USA with the products being a much larger fill size for greater usage.

The love of the British brand positioning enabled us to further develop specific products/brands all with quintessentially English heritage fit for those markets looking for British quality goods. The products were then sold to the domestic market and other export markets.

The one brand that made the difference to the business was the launch of the St Moriz Self-Tan brand. The UK market at the time was dominated by only a few expensive brands so the opportunity was evident to establish a quality product that was affordable and accessible to the mass market. The St Moriz brand was created with a limited range and was an instant success with the young, emerging beauty market at that time, as it provided a fabulous product at a very affordable price. The brand went from strength to strength and quickly established a great selection of nationwide and global customers and soon became one of the UK's leading self tan brand in volume.

Whilst HotHouse is most famous for its self tan brand St Moriz, we have a number of great brands, namely children’s bath time toiletries, Kids Stuff Crazy Soap, Haircare brands ColourVibe and Shades (London), and Asper & Jones English toiletries.

Our brands are now sold in over in over 30 international markets through well-established distributors, to ensure our products are readily available within the global retailers we trade with.

During 2018, our 10th year anniversary, Hothouse was awarded the Queens Award for Enterprise – for International trade! We are extremely proud of this achievement as the award not only recognises the growth our business has achieved in international trade but excellence in all areas of the business.
